@Pete,
No, it totally makes sense! My hope is that someone out there does consider making the 'super autocomplete' control - with this being open source, anyone can do that - and even sell it if they wanted.

On the Silverlight Toolkit team, we need to make tradeoffs when considering features: how many people will use that, how much time and effort will it take to spec, create, and test; and so, for now, this blog at least lets me add information about other features that we've decided to not officially support today.

Either way, I appreciate what you have to say!

Hello again Jeff,
Please ignore my previous message.
Thinking about it, I realise I do not know enough to mention such things.
Apologies,
Pete.

Hello Jeff,
"we decided not to include in the production control to improve the flexibility of the control"
I enquired not long ago about the possibility of including a means of restricting the choice to the items in the list, and got the same response. As I said before, I completely understand the reasoning behind this. However, I was wondering if it might be possible to have a "Super Autocompletebox" for simpletons like myself who would be more than happy to have a non-flexible control that uses more memory, in exchange for one that includes useful features such as the one you describe here in your blog.
