Hi Jeff, thanks so much for the quick response as our release depends on this feature.
For now I have a workaround where I modified the SelectorSelectionAdapter.HandleKeyDown() method to handle the Tab key the same way the Enter key is handled.

This isn’t exactly what we want because to finish the autocompletion, you have to press tab and then to get to the next field you have to press tab again.

Please let me know when you guys have a proper work around, thanks!

@Jeff,
Yeah, we actually have an open issue on this specific scenario: the only control being the AutoCompleteBox.

The problem is related to the limited tab navigation options in Silverlight, the way that popups work in Silverlight 2, and we haven’t been able to come up with a workaround for this yet.

I will post if and when I find a solution to this issue because it is important for this scenario.

Hi,

I’m having an issue with using the Tab navigation with the AutoCompleteBox embedded in a custom control in Sharepoint v3.
When the custom control is added as a field in a list, autocompleting some text and hitting tab won’t complete the selection and move to the next field. It instead does nothing.
However, if I don’t begin the autocomplete in the autocompletebox, I can tab around between fields.

The silverlight control that hosts the autocompletebox has no other controls.

Do you know how I would be able to get the tab to work so that the autocomplete box would behave like I would expect?

I would like to know whether this autosuggest control can be used like a drop down, which will have valuemember and text member.

Please let me know your thoughts and suggestion.

What value is there in having the Text property ever return a null as opposed to an empty string?

Hi,

Is there an easy way to control the minimum number of characters before the autocomplete starts suggesting. I would like to only start suggesting when 3 letters have been entered.

one of the next toolkit releases should have it.

Hi,

Very nice control indeed with lots of features, but aren’t there delimiter support? Eg. in a from/to field for composing a mail delimiter support is a must.
